Warm The Cluck Up – Nashville Scene’s Hot Chicken Week Returns

Nashville restaurants celebrate Music City’s most famous food – Hot Chicken.

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville put hot chicken on the map and now the Nashville Scene wants to put it on eaters’ plates with the 6th Annual Hot Chicken Week, January 31 - February 6, presented in partnership with Hub City Brewing’s Hold My Beer. For one week only, dozens of Nashville-area eateries will offer $7 hot chicken specials and compete to be crowned the Best Hot Chicken in town.

With plenty of variety, these specials are guaranteed to set Nashville’s world on fire. To make something great even greater, select restaurants will offer Hub City Brewing Hold My Beer specials to help cool eaters down from all that spice!

No two specialty dishes will be the same. Some will keep it traditional; others will mix things up and create truly one-of-a-kind dishes. 2021 champions, Red’s 615 Kitchen and Yin Yang Tea, will return with a Hot Chicken Mac Bowl and Nashville Hot Chicken Spring Rolls respectively. The deliciousness won’t stop there! Hot Chicken & Waffles, a hot chicken twist on a hot brown, Red Hot Chicken Tenders, and a Hot Chicken Pita Wrap are also on the menu from participating restaurants. Participating restaurants include Hattie B’s Chicken, Bolton’s Famous Hot Chicken & Fish, Graze Nashville, Germantown Pub, Red House Chicken & Shrimp and many more. A full list of restaurants can be found at hotchickenweek.com.

To celebrate the start of Nashville’s favorite week, the Nashville Scene will host a launch party on Monday, January 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Rock’n Dough Pizza & Brewery, located at 1105 51st Ave N, Nashville, TN 37209. The party will include live music, giveaways and of course, hot chicken. No tickets are necessary to attend.

Eaters are encouraged to post photos of all the dishes that they try to social media using #HotChickenWeek22 and tagging @NashvilleScene for a chance to win prizes including gift cards to participating restaurants, swag and even a party pack for the big game. No tickets are required, but reservations are encouraged when visiting participating restaurants. Eaters can also vote on their favorite dish of the week in three categories — Best Overall Dish, Best Unique Dish and Best Traditional dish — and help crown the best hot chicken joints in town.
