PEG LEG PORKER RELEASES PREMIUM 12-YEAR OLD TENNESSEE BOURBON WHISKEY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (April 4, 2017) – Veteran Pitmaster Carey Bringle, otherwise known as the Peg Leg Porker, announced today the release of a premium, 12-year old Peg Leg Porker Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
The new release marks the third Peg Leg Porker Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The original Peg Leg Porker Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey was released in 2013. The 8-year old Peg Leg Porker Whiskey was released in 2016 and won a Gold Medal at the 2016 San Francisco Spirits Competition.
The new premium bourbon release is aged for twelve years in new charred oak barrels and undergoes Peg Leg Porker’s signature filtering technique.
“This 12-year old is something very special. After the whiskey is taken from its barrels, it is filtered through hickory creating our signature flavor and color,” said Carey Bringle, Peg Leg Porker owner. “We continue to grow our men’s lifestyle brand and this new premium whiskey is essential to our brand’s growth.”
Nashville’s Best Bands will distribute the new 93.9 proof Peg Leg Porker Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The initial run will be 136 cases and distributed first in Tennessee, and then allocated to select markets. Fans of Peg Leg Porker will recognize the pig with a peg leg on each bottle. Retail price is $85.95.
Peg Leg Porker recommends drinking the bourbon straight, on the rocks, or a “Pork and Stormy,” mixing ½ parts Peg Leg Porker Bourbon and ½ parts Barritts Ginger Beer, with a splash of lime.
