PEG LEG PORKER TENNESSEE STRAIGHT BOURBON WINS GOLD MEDAL AT SAN FRANCISCO WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (April 5, 2016) – Peg Leg Porker’s second lot of Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey, aged eight years and released this year, has won a Gold Medal at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition conducted March 17th through 20th at the Hotel Nikko in Downtown San Francisco. More than 1,850 spirits were judged this year, the largest competition in their 16-year history.
Carey Bringle, the Peg Leg Porker, is the only award-winning pitmaster in the country with an award-winning bourbon whiskey. “We are honored to win a Gold Medal on our second lot of Peg Leg Porker Bourbon,” said Bringle, owner, Peg Leg Porker. “We believe our filtered process helped us win the Gold. We run our whiskey through hickory which creates our signature flavor and color. Getting a gold medal validates our bourbon, it’s not just a novelty product.”

On May 1, 2016, a limited allocation of the bourbon will become available in New York City at various shops and restaurants.
