CHEEKWOOD TO WELCOME REAL REINDEER TO HOLIDAY LIGHTS
Reindeer Holly and Jolly to Make Cheekwood Home for the Holidays
NASHVILLE, TN. – Two of Santa’s most trusted companions, Holly and Jolly, will make Cheekwood home for the holidays. Arriving November 14, the two reindeer will settle into their new environment in the Frist Learning Center courtyard at Cheekwood, where visitors can see them throughout every night of Holiday LIGHTS and during daytime hours.
“The reindeer really bring the magic of the season to life for our visitors, especially for the kids,” said Nathalie Lavine, Cheekwood’s director of education and programs. “It’s wonderful to see the pure joy on the guests’ faces when they meet Holly and Jolly. The animals truly provide a memorable and rewarding holiday experience for all who encounter them.”
The reindeer will reside at the historic estate through the end of Holiday LIGHTS on January 1. The animals are acquired through Rocky Hill Reindeer, an East Tennessee provider.
Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood, presented by Regions, is made possible by The AWC Family Foundation with additional support from The Memorial Foundation and The Frist Foundation. Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood will be open to the public nightly from Friday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 1, excluding Christmas Day and Mondays (except Dec. 26). LIGHTS tickets, ranging from $10-$20, can be purchased on Cheekwood’s website. Children 2-years-old and under are free.
