Host Craig Wiseman Sets Fundraising Goal of $150,000 In Partnership With Nashville-Based O’Charley’s, Show’s Presenting Sponsor For 11 Straight Years
NASHVILLE, TN. (April 8, 2015) – O’Charley’s and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee will celebrate the 11th annual Stars For Second Harvest hosted by Craig Wiseman on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. Nashville-based O’Charley’s is the benefit show’s presenting sponsor for the 11th consecutive year, with acclaimed hit songwriter Craig Wiseman as event host.
On the heels of selling out last year’s 10th anniversary show, Stars for Second Harvest promises to be another intimate evening of music featuring unplugged acoustic-style performances by some of country music’s most acclaimed songwriters and performers. Past special guests have included Vince Gill, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Jake Owen, Luke Bryan, Nelly and Dierks Bentley.
“Stars for Second Harvest is one of my favorite events each year,” said Craig Wiseman, acclaimed songwriter and event host. “I am honored to be part of such a tremendous benefit to help to raise awareness for the hungry in Middle Tennessee. We are proud to have O'Charley's along as our presenter for the 11th straight year. Their continued significant support has made this event possible and provided more than 3 million to children, families and seniors. My goal this year is to raise at least $150,000, which get us even closer to the 1 million dollar total mark in our involvement with Stars for Second Harvest.”
“Nashville has been home to O’Charley’s for more than 40 years,” said Hazem Ouf, president and CEO of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, the Nashville-based parent company of O’Charley’s. “It is important to us as a company that we give back to Middle Tennessee and take care of our friends and neighbors. It’s been deeply rewarding to be the presenter of this event benefitting Second Harvest since its inception. We look forward to another special evening led by Craig Wiseman that will benefit those throughout our community who need it most.”
