NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (January 10, 2018) – Nashville’s Porter Road Butcher have launched an online shop, PorterRoad.com, providing their signature products delivered within one or two days, fresh, not frozen, to all 48 contiguous United States. Porter Road offers superior cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken, all pasture-raised, with no antibiotics or hormones, fed vegetarian, non-GMO feed, and given proper attention at every stage. Their devotion to the animal continues at their Princeton, KY facility, where they meticulously process and hand-cut every piece of meat.
“We believe in the integrity of our products. Not everyone has a local butcher shop like ours in Nashville; that’s why we decided to take this business to the next level to provide fresh beef, pork, lamb and chicken to customers across the country. There’s a new revolution of chefs and home cooks who care about where their food comes from,” said James Peisker, co-founder. “What makes us special is the care we take to hand-select our farmers and how we treat the animals through the process. All Porter Road beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 14 days, creating tenderness and intense flavor that will completely change how consumers think about meat. “You’ll notice that our chicken is a deep yellow in color, and our pork has a darker hue as well. This is a result of a healthy diet and outdoor exercise — you can actually taste the pastures they’ve been roaming in, so we keep our recipes simple, and let the meat speak for itself,” said Peisker.

ABOUT PORTER ROAD
In 2010, co-founders James Peisker and Chris Carter met in one of downtown Nashville’s favorite kitchens. They immediately hit it off, and decided to jump ship to start their own catering business. As the business grew, Chris and James realized how hard it was to get their hands on quality, local meat from sources they could trust. They made constant trips to the farmer’s market, but even there, the meat wasn’t cut properly, and was often sold frozen. Yet again, they decided to take matters into their own hands, and started their own butcher shop.
