About THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW

With a colorful menagerie of 75 incredible puppets from the Off-Broadway production, four beloved classics — Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar — come to life! These puppets, identical to the illustrations they are based on, deliver charm to both children and adults.

“While assembling NCT’s 2018-19 Season of Discovery,” says Ernie Nolan, NCT Executive Artistic Director, “I knew The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show was a perfect fit. Not only do each of the four stories within this play hold revelations for their characters, but the book itself has helped generations of children discover reading and literature.”

THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW is created by Jonathan Rockefeller and based on Eric Carle’s books.

The cast includes Isabella Karina Coelho, DéYonté Jenkins, and Kristin McCalley.

Production Design for the play is by Jonathan Rockefeller and adapted for NCT’s stage by Scott Leathers, with Costume Design by Jonathan Rockefeller and adapted for NCT’s stage by Alarie Hammock.
