INTRODUCING “FLAVOR BY LOEWS HOTELS": A CULINARY EXPERIENCE DESIGNED TO SHOWCASE HYPER-LOCAL FLAVOR
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel sources the best local food and beverage partners so guests can taste Nashville’s homegrown flavor right on property
NASHVILLE, TN (September 13, 2017) – Loews Vanderbilt Hotel introduces Flavor by Loews Hotels, an innovative food and beverage experience serving up the best of Nashville’s local flavor right within the four walls of the hotel. Rolling out nationally this year across the brand, Flavor by Loews Hotels is built on partnerships with artisan food & beverage vendors ranging from bakers to ice cream makers. The indigenous products are showcased on menus across the brand’s portfolio, enabling guests to experience a taste of the destination without ever having to step off property. Loews Hotels is one of the first hotel brands to embrace local partnerships on a national scale, satisfying guests’ desires to immerse themselves in the destinations -- bite-by-bite and sip-by-sip.
The Flavor by Loews Hotels program was born at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, which perfectly captures the iconic culture of Miami through its partnerships with an amazing cast of the city’s finest food & beverage purveyors, including Azúcar Ice Cream, Zak the Baker, Miami Club Rum and more. Based on the success of Flavor Miami, all Loews Hotels from coast-to-coast are now introducing the best of their destination’s food and drink artisans, so guests can truly dine like a local.
At Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, guests can start their day with Nashville’s beloved Frothy Monkey Coffee, served exclusively at the property’s brand new POD Organic Market which also offers organic snacks and healthy grab-and-go options for breakfast and lunch.
For those looking for an adult pick-me-up, guests can visit Mason Bar and enjoy monthly “Craft on Draft” cocktails featuring various SPEAKeasy Spirits including Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream and Pickers Vodka. This artisan distillery, founded by husband-and-wife team Jeff and Jenny Pennington, sources grain for their products from local Tennessee farmers and gives back by donating stillage (the post-distilling leftovers) to feed local farm animals.
Also partnering with locally beloved Yazoo Brewing Company, Loews Vanderbilt Hotel provides seasonally rotating options for those that prefer beer to spirits. At Mason’s guests can enjoy a pairing menu featuring four Yazoo draft selections with three savory small plates and a dessert. The menu will also feature two menu items incorporating Yazoo brew; collard greens cooked in an IPA and a chocolate cake made with a Yazoo Porter.
“While Nashville is known for its music scene, the recent explosion of talent in our culinary community has put the city on the map. Our Flavor partners exemplify Nashville’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit and by aligning with these local brands, we offer our guests a chance to experience our local community within the walls of our property before they head out to explore the destination,” said Charles Phillips, Director of Food & Beverage at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.
