Catering by Christie Cookie to launch this October
Nashville bakery will deliver freshly baked, handcrafted cookies
October 9, 2017 – Christie Cookie will begin delivering its freshly baked cookies and treats through a new catering division, announces Fleming Wilt, president. The Christie Cookie Catering department, located within the locally headquartered company, will launch October 16, with pick-up and delivery service to Nashville area customers.
“This is the natural next step for the company,” said Wilt. “The city’s growth and development of delivery based services shows there’s a demand. The constant flow of traffic to our Germantown bakery shows that locals love the cookies. We are a Nashville-born brand, and while our cookies are shipped nationwide, they’re baked right here and we want to bring them directly to the homes and offices of our neighbors, giving them handcrafted goods they can be proud to serve.”
The catering menu includes Christie Cookie’s signature flavors (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and white chocolate macadamia nut), the Cookie of the Month, triple chocolate brownies, muffins (apple cinnamon, blueberry yogurt, bran, and citrus cranberry), cold milk, and freshly brewed coffee. Items may be ordered a la carte or by bundled menu offerings, as long as an order minimum of $30 is met. Delivery fees will be a flat rate of $10 within a five mile radius of Christie Cookies, and $15 for areas outside those parameters.
Wilt simultaneously announces the addition of a catering and sales manager, Brynn Maisel, to lead the new division.
“Corporate gatherings, office meetings, building resident appreciation, parties, weddings, or any type of function where a customer might need delicious cookies, decadent brownies, homemade muffins, fresh brewed coffee, or milk in old fashioned milk bottles, we are here for you,” said Maisel. “Nashville has allowed Christie Cookie to thrive for over 30 years, so it was time we created another opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to us.”
The packaging is a key component of the catering service. Christie Cookie’s signature red color and Nashville-rooted branding is visible throughout the sleek coffee carafes, retro milk bottles, napkins with a custom word search, and pop-up cookie trays that come ready to serve.
“We deliver a box full of treats, which opens to become a ready-made serving tray that boasts ‘time for a fresh-baked break.’ The milk bottles are reminiscent of old-fashion milk delivery services. It’s an instant smile maker,” said Maisel. “Presentation is a key component of catering, food is just as much taste as it is sight, and we have been thoughtful about each piece.”
Catering deliveries begin October 16, but preorders are available now. Contact the catering department for more information: (615) 981-0470 or Brynn.firstname.lastname@example.org.
