About This Spot
This was the place Johnny Cash used to escape from public life. Now the Storytellers Hideaway Farm & Museum in Bon Aqua, TN is a must-stop for anyone interested in knowing more about the man behind the country music icon, as well as the region’s rich history. Visitors will tour the hideaway home - built before the Civil War by the prominent Weems family - that Johnny Cash called the center of his universe for over 30 years, and will learn so much more about the man behind the legend. Live mini concerts happen throughout the day, with our talented in-house musicians. Afterward, visitors will be able to tour the farm itself, including the car shed, where we house the famous One Piece At A Time Cadillac. Visitors are welcome to savor the peace and serenity of the 8-acre field. On a limited basis, the venue can be rented for concerts, private functions, and other events.
