Inspired by the Japanese “kissa” concept, which are tea lounges that gained popularity in the 1950s and eventually morphed into cocktail bars, Chef Sean Brock’s Bar Continental combines his love of music, Japanese culture, and simple, yet innovative cuisine. Located in the Grand Hyatt hotel in downtown Nashville, Bar Continental’s bar service and dinner menu offers classic cocktails, a curated wine list, local beer on tap, and a menu of signature dishes showcasing the best seafood available. During the day, pastries are served alongside coffee and tea service provided by local shop Now and Then. Bar Continental has seating at two distinct bars in addition to the main dining room, where guests can enjoy rare records played through the highest quality audiophile equipment with friends and family.
