About the Role:

This leadership management role will manage the daily operations of the studio and facilities department at Madame Tussauds Nashville. This includes figure maintenance, figure experiences and launches, technical and physical upkeep of the attraction, health & safety procedures/policies and achieving high brand KPI scores. This role oversees a team of studio artist technicians. The studio department works closely with the marketing and operations team.


Key Objectives:

·         Maintain excellent figure presentation aligned with brand guidelines to include figure positioning, lighting and styling to match the approved figure brief.

·         Ensure Madame Tussauds premier brand excellence throughout the attraction in theming and positioning of sets.

·         Daily inspection of all figures and theming of the site.

·         Repair wear and tear of the figures and correct any figure, wardrobe or set damage.

·         Develop and oversee a team a team of studio artist technicians, set schedules, objectives and project timelines.

·         Oversee facilities, technical issues and needed repairs.

·         Work directly with the MT US Figure Manager to ensure figures are meeting global brand standards.

·         Maintain the figure audit report and property asset list.

·         Assist in new figure launches, promo stunts, and PR experiences.

·         Manage studio budget along with building maintenance facilities budget.

·         Maintain studio environment, storage, wardrobe, working stations, storage spaces of facilities space, expansion space, tool cabinets, chemical cabinets and all things related studio and facilities.

·         Oversee figure shipping needs, coordinating the transit, protective packing and all shipping communications.

·         Responsible for all aspects of health, safety and security for the team, customers and contractors.


·         College degree, preferably in an art, production and or a related field or equivalent experience.

·         Oil painting, costume repair and design, plaster, hair styling, wig repair.

·         2-4 years in a manager or supervisory level with performing arts or similar studio environment.

·         Ability to lift, push or pull 50-70 pounds.
