Tim Nichols

Tim Nichols, a Springfield, Missouri native, moved to Nashville in pursuit of a music career and soon discovered that his talent as a songwriter would open doors to major record labels. His first break came in 1986 when Ronnie Milsap recorded a Nichols composition. This led to his first publishing deal with Milsap-Galbraith Music Group. Other hits soon followed. Keith Whitley recorded "I'm Over You" and "Brotherly Love," both reaching No. 1 on the charts.

In 2004, Nichols co-wrote Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" with Craig Wiseman, which set a new record of 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Radio & Records chart, won the Best Country Song Grammy award in 2005 and was nominated for the Song of the Year Grammy. It also won the Song of the Year award from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, BMI Country Awards, ASCAP Country Awards, and the Nashville Songwriters Association International. It is the only song ever to have won every major song award that is presented for country music.

In addition, Terri Clark scored a No. 1 hit with Nichols' "Girls Lie Too" from her Greatest Hits Collection and a Top 5 hit with his "I Wanna Do It All." Other Nichols tunes include the Jo Dee Messina debut smash "Heads Carolina, Tails California," as well as the followup "You're Not In Kansas Anymore." Trace Adkins scored his first No. 1 with "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing." Tim co-wrote the No. 1 Lee Ann Womack song "I'll Think Of a Reason Later," as well as the Patty Loveless hit, "That's the Kind Of Mood I'm In."

Other artists to record Nichols' songs include Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Gretchen Wilson, Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt, Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye and Clay Walker.

Jim Collins

Jim Collins, one of Nashville's premier, and most consistent hit makers, kicked off 2008 by penning the debut single for new country artist and Dancing With The Stars superstar, Julianne Hough, "That Song In My Head." Jim's most recent No. 1, "It Just Comes Natural" sung by George Strait flew up the charts and landed at the top of the Billboard/R&R chart for two weeks last February. His Gretchen Wilson single, "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today," received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song.

A native Texan, Jim has had a continuous stream of hit singles topping the charts, including hits such as Kenny Chesney's "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy." Jim's smash "The Good Stuff," became a seven-week No. 1 song for Kenny Chesney on the Billboard chart in 2002 and was named Billboard's Country Song of the Year, ASCAP Song of the Year and the Academy of Country Music Single of the Year. Jim's songs have also been recorded by the likes of Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Josh Gracin, Dwight Yoakam, Mark Chesnutt and Kenny Rogers.

A Southern California native, Marv Green moved to Nashville in 1993 and captured his first No. 1 hit in 1998 with "True," recorded by George Strait. The following year he scored his second No. 1 with "Amazed" recorded by Lonestar which spent a record-breaking eight weeks at the top of the Billboard chart. Green was honored by BMI with their Song of the Year award in 2000 and honored again in 2001 as BMI Songwriter of the Year. Marv also claimed the ACM Song of the Year for "Amazed" as well as a Grammy nomination.

Recently, Green collected his third No. 1 song with "It Just Comes Natural" recorded by George Strait and his fourth No. 1 with the Carrie Underwood single "Wasted." He currently has a single out with Brooks & Dunn titled "Proud Of The House We Built."
