Honky Tonk Highway
Let's talk about a thing called Honky Tonk Highway. Music City's honky tonks line both sides of Broadway and pump live music into the streets all day, every day. There's no cover charge but the tip jar gets passed around for those wanting to appreciate the musicians that make Nashville Music City. The music starts at 10am with the party lasting until 3 in the morning.

Behind the busy streets of Nashville's Broadway is the SoBro district with a handful of places that are all about FREE music. From a listening room with outstanding acoustics to a Nashville craft beer tap room that hosts rocking bands each weekend. The SoBro district is one of the best places to get a taste of what Nashville offers.

Nashville's Free Music Events
What better way to celebrate our country's independence than with free live music in the heart of the city built on music? Add to it a full day of family fun and an incredible fireworks show and you've got Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th. Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville celebration brings thousands of partygoers to downtown Nashville each year. Arrington Vineyards hosts Music in the Vines every year from April through December. During April the events are every Saturday from 5-9pm. From May through December the events are every Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 5-9pm and Sunday 2-6pm. It's all free and the perfect chance to listen to great music and taste amazing wine!
At the beginning of each summer the Nashville Symphony offers a series of free performances at parks around town. The Community Concerts are a lovely event to share with family or friends under the warm night sky. Bring a picnic. Enjoy the music!
Musicians Corner takes place each Saturday May-June and September-October. This free, family-friendly event is open to the public with musical performances from 1:30 to 5pm. Pre-show activities begin at noon with food trucks, beer and wine garden, and "Kidsville" activities.
There is so much FREE music at CMA Music Festival, you don't even need a ticket to catch some great concerts! There will be multiple stages throughout Downtown Nashville hosting free live music each day during the 2016 CMA Music Festival. Every third Sunday from May until October, Nashville jams out at Cumberland Park during Jazz on the Cumberland. All the music is provided by local jazz acts and is FREE to all.

Each year the Ryman Auditorium hosts Bluegrass Nights at The Ryman presenting the biggest names in bluegrass on the very stage where the genre was born in 1945. Before every show is the free Pickin' on the Plaza live concert featuring a top regional bluegrass band.
Put on by the owners of the Art and Invention Gallery, the Tomato Art Festival is an art show celebrating the tomato during late summer. The festival is free and takes place in East Nashville’s Five Points area. There are multiple stages throughout the area, which hosts free music for everyone to enjoy.
Every Tuesday for two months in early Fall, the Nashville Public Library hosts a free concert from 11:45am-1pm. The concerts will take place right in their courtyard. So grab some lunch and enjoy the weather while listening to some great live music.
This is a free concert series held Thursday evenings in August and September at the Public Square Park in front of the Courthouse. The evening highlights local and nationally known artists and performers. Sheryl Crow, Spoon, Jonny P, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and more will rock the stage this year.
The annual Arrington Vineyards Harvest Party offers a free day of music, hot air balloons, food, and wine, set among a beautiful backdrop of vineyards. It's a wonderful time to cherish the coming season with good friends and family.
