57TH ANNUAL NASHVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE DOWNTOWN MUSIC CITY DECEMBER 4 Share the Warmth with thousands of friends and family in downtown Music City for the 57th Annual Nashville Christmas Parade. Grand Marshal John Rich and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean will kick off the holiday season with the city's tree lighting ceremony at 6pm in the Public Square. Fireworks will kick off the Parade that begins at 7pm at 6th & Broadway, marches east to 2nd Avenue then crosses the Woodland Street Bridge to LP Field. Get in the spirit of the season with all the sights and sounds of the holidays. All proceeds from this year's float entry fees will benefit Share the Warmth, an energy assistance program that helps our neighbors who struggle to pay their home energy bills. Please be aware of street closures surrounding the parade: 5:00pm Broadway will be closed from 2nd Avenue through 13th Avenue. No traffic will be allowed to proceed towards downtown but traffic can cross Broadway. The route will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade. 6:00pm 2nd Avenue and the Woodland Street Bridge will be closed. 6:00pm No traffic allowed crossing Broadway. 6:30pm 5K Rudolph Red Nose Run begins at Juvenile Justice Center. 7:00pm Parade officially begins with the opening ceremony between 5th & 6th Avenues on Broadway.
