LIVE ON THE GREEN

THURSDAYS, SEPTEMBER 3-OCTOBER 8, 2009

LiveOntheGreen is a new concert series every Thursday night in downtown Music City. The event highlights local acts along with national artists with a connection to Nashville. • Event vendors are selling beer in recyclable aluminum cans and are not selling plastic bottled sodas.
  • Recycling centers are be located around the event for aluminum cans, plastic cups and paper products.
  • Reusable Swig Swag mugs are sold, encouraging concertgoers to bring them back to each event for a discount refill.
  • Metro Water is offering filtered tap water, reducing the need for plastic water bottles.
  • Leftover and uncooked food will be taken back to their respective restaurants to be reused or composted.
  • A free bike check is offered.
