The Nashville Film Festival is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country, celebrating its 40th year in 2009. More than 22,000 people attended the 2008 festival to view more than 200 films from 44 countries. Festival-goers will enjoy a plethora of works from documentaries and narrative features to animated and experimental shorts. Panels and workshops are also offered for those looking to enrich their knowledge beyond the screen.

A number of World and US premieres will take place at this year's festival. I Was Here (Estonia) and Pachamama (Bolivia, Japan, US) are making their US premiere here in Nashville. Empress Hotel, House of Numbers, Any Day Now, The Other Side of the Lens, The Heart is a Drum Machine and William Shatner's Gonzo Ballet are all making their World premiere in Music City.
