Access Nashville Project
The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau worked with a number of organizations (listed below) in a project to collect the accessibility information of public buildings in the downtown area. Future efforts will expand the surveys to other parts of Nashville . All surveying took place in the fall of 2004.

The survey information cited is not an ADA Compliance Audit. The survey instrument was designed with input from all of the groups listed below and was specifically designed to recognize “accessibility friendly” establishments.

Each place is rated:

Limited Access: Barriers to accessibility; in the opinion of volunteer reviewers, barriers to accessibility make it difficult for people with disabilities to enter and/or move around in this facility. The survey will note the level of accessibility.

Good Access: Accessibility friendly; in the opinion of volunteer reviewers, people with disabilities can enter and move around although some barriers may exist.

Wow Access: Highly accessibility friendly; in the opinion of volunteer reviewers, this business is easily navigable by people with disabilities.
