- Does it cost anything to see the concert or attend the event?
No! It's FREE!
- Who's performing?
Keith Urban, Styx, A Thousand Horses, Moon Taxi, Charlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers are playing the 2016 event. It's going to be so good!
- When does it start?
The event site opens at 4pm on December 31. Plan to visit partner exhibits and vendor booths throughout the day. Raising of the music note starts around 6:15pm.
- Where is it?
The whole party takes over Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in downtown Nashville.
- Will there be a big, sparkly ball that will drop at midnight?
No, we're Music City. A 15-foot-tall red music note will drop 145 feet at midnight - it's Nashville's signature Music Note Drop®!
- Will there be fireworks?
Of course. The midnight Music Note Drop® will trigger a fantastic fireworks show at midnight as we ring in the new year.
- How old do you have to be to attend?
All ages are welcome. You must be 21+ to purchase alcoholic beverages.
- So, there will be alcohol for purchase?
Yes, alcohol is available for purchase by guests 21+. IDs will be checked for all those wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages.
- Can I get an official Music City Midnight shirt?
Yes! And we'll have TWO Merch Trucks this year! One will be stage right at 6th Avenue and the other stage left at 7th Avenue near the Nashville Farmers' Market.
- Can I eat there?
Absolutely. Local food trucks (see the full list) will be serving on site and the Nashville Farmers' Market will be open with vendors inside.
- Is it a family-friendly event?
Nashville is friendly to everyone. But please keep in mind the nature of the event: there will be tens of thousands of people celebrating at this event. Alcohol will be served. Music and fireworks can be loud. There will be a special Raising of the Note at the beginning of the night that families might enjoy.
- Is there a place to charge my phone?
Yes! Visit the AT&T Tent located on 7th Avenue in front of Farmers' Market Entrance for a free wireless charging station.
- Can I access free WiFi?
But of course. We want you to post about all the fun you're having at #NashvilleNYE! You can jump on the free NashvilleNYE wireless network.
- Where should I park?
Downtown parking options can be found at parkitdowntown.com.
The Historic Buena Vista Neighborhood will have parking at the southwest corner of Tenth Avenue North and Scovel Street with all proceeds going to its community association for beautification and other community purposes.
- If I don't want to drive, what's the best way to get downtown on New Year's Eve?
There are plenty of options for transportation. See it all.
- Will there be bathrooms?
Of course! Check out the event site map for locations.
- Is there a picture-perfect spot to grab a snapshot to remember the event?
Yes! A giant picture frame will be set up at the event near the Bell Carillon in the back of the park. Step inside the Advance Financial Picture Frame and have your photo taken!
- Can I bring a chair and a cooler?
No, for the safety, comfort, and convenience of everyone, neither chairs nor coolers are permitted. View visitmusiccity.com/newyearseve/nye_houserules for more information on what can and cannot come into the event site.
- Can I purchase special VIP seating?
No, VIP seating is not available for purchase. The event is general admission.
- Is the event ADA accessible?
There will be an ADA viewing platform in Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Chairs will be available on a first come basis. The easiest access for this platform if from 7th Avenue near the Farmers' Market. Access to this viewing platform is a first-come basis. For information on the closest available parking lots or garages, visit parkitdowntown.com.
- What if I lose something? Where can I find it?
On the night of the event, you can visit the Information Tent near the Farmers' Market to see if your item's been turned in. All found items will move to the Nashville Visitor Center at Bridgestone Arena on January 1.
- Is there an official event hashtag?
YES! It's #NashvilleNYE. Use it in all of your posts and follow along for the fun.
- Where do I go for event updates, schedule changes, weather plans, and for answers on anything else I want to ask?
