Music City Takes Story on the Road to Washington D.C.
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau (NCVB) sales staff and more than 25 Hall of Fame members will travel to Washington D.C. Jan. 25-27 to conduct a sales blitz known as the "D.C. Road Show."

With more than 100 appointments booked, Road Show participants will divide up to make individual and group sales calls during the three-day sales blitz. Award-winning Nashville songwriters will perform for clients during group sales calls, and Capitol Nashville recording artist Dierks Bentley will entertain clients during a special reception held on the final night of the trip.

Washington D.C. is home to the largest number of associations in North America, which is why the location was chosen for the sales blitz.

NCVB Launches 'Winter Rocks' Leisure Sales Program
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau (NCVB) launched its annual "Winter Rocks" leisure sales program earlier this month. In its third year, the program offers visitors special discounts for some of Nashville's top attractions and hotels during slower winter months.

Visitors can get discount attraction coupons or they can opt for a "Winter Rocks Vacation Package" that includes accommodations, attraction coupons and Music City merchandise.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art, Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum are just a few of our participating members. To learn more, visit www.visitmusiccity.com/winterrocks. The promotion runs through March 15th.

Brand Champion - Purity Dairy
It's only fitting we begin 2011 by recognizing a brand champion that is a Music City institution in its own right. Purity Dairy has not only been providing quality dairy products to Nashvillians for more than 80 years, it has been a great corporate partner to the city. They're continuing that tradition by incorporating the music brand into their marketing efforts. Billboards reading "Performing in Music City Since 1926" promote their products and reinforce the Music City brand. Congratulations Purity Dairy, our January Brand Champion!
