The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl celebrates 10 years with another exciting match-up between the Southeastern Conference Kentucky Wildcats and the Atlantic Coast Conference Florida State University Seminoles for a New Year's Eve fight to the finish.
The game will once again take place at Music City's LP Field on Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. Televised nationally to millions of viewers on ESPN, the Bowl is one of Nashville's great holiday traditions.
For the third consecutive year, the stars of country music and NASCAR will converge on Music City for Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust.
The annual celebration will take place in and around Nashville's Sommet Center, January 11-12, and will include a concert extravaganza headlined by Grammy-winning recording artist Alan Jackson with special guests Taylor Swift and Jason Michael Carroll.
In addition to the concert, the two-day festival will feature show car and sponsor displays, as well as a charitable auction with memorabilia from the racing and entertainment industries. Fans will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with drivers, team owners and music artists for autographs, story-telling and question and answer sessions.
Country artists scheduled to appear at the event include Josh Turner, Diamond Rio, Danielle Peck, Bucky Covington and Craig Morgan. The event line-up also features NASCAR greats Richard Petty, Kyle Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Ryan Newman and Jamie McMurray along with sports car racing superstars Max Angelelli and Wayne Taylor.
The first two Sprint Sound & Speed events drew an estimated 25,000 fans and raised more than $500,000 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum.
Tickets for Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com and through the event website at www.soundandspeed.org. Tickets are $39.50 for the concert, $20 for the festival, or $54.50 for both. Buy now for a perfect Christmas present!
