Now in the documentary For the Love of Music: The Story of Nashville, the story behind the Nashville music scene is told through the eyes of many of the musicians, songwriters, producers and artists who live and breathe its inspiration. Volunteers Needed: Nashville Hosts American Bus Association in January
We would like to extend the opportunity to help us welcome a very important tourism group to Nashville, the American Bus Association (ABA), on January 10-16, 2014. The meeting brings together tour operators, itinerary planners and other buyers of travel and tourism services to generate business. The travel show is a significant sales opportunity for Music City to showcase its value, accessibility and offerings to the key decision makers in the industry. Blackberry Smoke, Brett Eldredge to Join Music City's New Year's Eve Lineup
Nashville will ring in the New Year and rock out the old with a full evening of free music, fireworks and countdown to the midnight "Music Note Drop®". Music City's fifth annual New Year's Eve ‘Bash on Broadway' will feature performances by Southern rock group Blackberry Smoke and country up-and-comer Brett Eldredge. The NCVC announced earlier this month that Grammy award-winning country singer/songwriter Hank Williams Jr. will headline the city's signature event. Donations Raised for Colorado Flood Victims
The Boulder, Colorado community recently experienced a devastating flood disaster, much like the one Nashville experienced in 2010. Thanks to all of you who came forward to show your support by donating funds for flood relief. Together we donated $855 to the Colorado area!
Hatch Show Print® to Celebrate Grand Opening at New Location
On November 2 and 3, the iconic letterpress print shop owned and operated by the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will celebrate its Grand Opening in its new location at 224 Fifth Avenue South. Visitors will be able to take a look at the new facility and enjoy a full slate of Hatch-related programs. September 2013 hotel data for Davidson County
Among the Top 25 Markets, Nashville had the largest increases in Rooms Sold, Occupancy, RevPAR, and Hotel Revenue for September. Nashville had the third largest increase for Average Daily Rate (behind Oahu Island and San Francisco).
- Demand (rooms sold) increased 12.3% over September 2012. This is the best September in the city's history in terms of rooms sold.
- Occupancy increased 8.4% over the previous year
- Average Daily Rate (ADR) increased 12.0% over the previous year
- Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) increased 21.43% over the previous year
- Hotel Revenue increased 25.8% over the previous year
- Supply increased 3.7% over the previous year
