Spotlight on Music City
With Nashville coming off an outstanding summer for the hospitality industry and June hotel tax collections being the highest in the city's history, Music City was once again in the spotlight with the CMA Awards. Both "Good Morning America" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" visited Nashville as people from across the world came out for "Country Music's Biggest Night" and brought an estimated $5 million in direct visitor spending.

Nashville Airport Opens Rental Car Facility
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has completed one of the largest construction projects in its history, a 1.2-million-square-foot consolidated rental car facility, that opened November 1. The new facility, located across from the terminal, frees up an additional 600 spaces in the Short Term garage and increases the airport's rental car capacity to a total of 2,400.
Walk of Fame Induction & Boot Auction
The most recent Walk of Fame ceremony took place on Sunday, November 6th and honored Manuel, Kix Brooks, Les Paul, Dottie Rambo, Alan Jackson, Dan Miller and Dr. Bobby Jones. See Billboard Magazine's coverage on the event and visit the Walk of Fame website for more information.
Durango, the Music City Walk of Fame's newest partner, has added a charitable component to the program donating pairs of Durango boots signed by past inductees to be auctioned online beginning in December. Proceeds will benefit the Music City, Inc. Foundation. Boots can be seen on display through the month of November at the Nashville Visitor Center located in Bridgestone Arena.
