February is Black History Month, a month to recognize and celebrate the contributions of African Americans to our society. Many events surround the month-long celebration and offer you a unique opportunity to experience Black History and Nashville History. Don't miss Aaron Douglas: African American Modernist which opens at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts January 18 and runs through April 13. The exhibit presents American modernism from one of the most important artists of the Harlem Renaissance.
