A crowd gathered on Monday in downtown
Music City to hear city leaders and meeting
representatives speak about the new
1.2-million-square-foot convention center
and stayed to watch construction equipment
break ground to a soundtrack of live music
performances against a backdrop of fireworks.
Music City Center is set to open in early 2013.
