Winter in Music City

Music City doesn't stop for cool weather. We move inside! Inside the attractions, music venues, and restaurants. Warming up in one of the hottest cities around is never a difficult task.

The air may be cool but the food is always hot. Dine and warm up with some hot chicken, barbecue, and local brews, spirits, and wines. Explore Nashville's food scene.

When the holiday season hits Music City, it literally lights up. All the beauty, joy and magic of the season are wrapped up in an incredible array of events ranging from concerts to theatrical performances to reminders of Christmas past.  Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center goes all out as it celebrates the holidays with A Country Christmas. With nearly 2 million Christmas lights, the Radio City Rockettes and more all in one place, there's something for every member of the family to enjoy.   Step back in time at one of the many historic homes adorned with holiday splendor of the 1800’s such as the Belle Meade Plantation or Belmont Mansion or fill your visit with the traditions of ballet and theatre. Of course, the gift of music always awaits you in Music City! From the Nashville Symphony Orchestra to Christmas music at the historic Ryman Auditorium you’re sure to find a tune that will bring you holiday cheer.

Finally, ring in the new year and rock out the old with thousands of your closest friends at Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville. This free event has a big outdoor concert as well as a countdown to the fireworks and the midnight Music Note Drop.

Nashville doesn't calm down as we move into the new year. With the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville, Predators hockey games, Black History Month celebrations, Broadway series at TPAC, and so much more, January and February are prime times to visit Music City to experience unique events and happenings.

See for yourself why Winter Rocks in Music City.
