Music City is a strong brand that extends beyond the city itself. It is a brand that is recognized around the world. Because of this, the NCVB creates integrated marketing programs that target the 11.5 million individuals that identify with the brand throughout the country and are traveling to Nashville to experience Music City. More than 55% travel to Music City in their cars.
The NCVB knows that integrated marketing and activation is the key to achieving marketing goals and return on your investment. The NCVB is offering an opportunity to develop an integrated marketing program that leverages and further promotes the brand marketing messages to our visitors across the country.
In celebration of Black History Month, this event takes place every Thursday in February at B.B. King’s Blues Club and Restaurant in Nashville. The NCVB produces and promotes this musical series each year. 2011 Artists included: Darnell Levine, The Jimmy Church Band, Joe Johnson, Kevin Whalum and Damien Horne.

Concerts, awards shows, operas, music festivals and symphonies are just some of the things that truly make this month one of musical tribute. The Music City July 4th celebration at Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville has grown over its 26-year history to become Nashville's biggest single event. In 2010 crowds drawing over 120,000 people enjoyed the sunshine, entertainment and activities. In 2011, the event dates are July 3-4. Nashville continues to be among the top 10 destinations in the U.S. for the best fireworks show. This is one of the only fireworks shows in the world choreographed to live music and is over 25 minutes long. The celebration includes seven hours of live music. 2011 performers include Darius Rucker, The Nashville Symphony, Street Corner Symphony, Ayla Brown, The Cleverlys, Port Chuck, The Willis Clan and more! Two areas, the Family Fun Zone and Celebration Avenue, feature partner booths, vendor booths, inflatables, entertainment, arts and crafts.

"Music City Connection: Heroes Behind the Hits" is a radio show recorded and produced by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau right here in Music City, and broadcast exclusively by Sirius|XM Radio. Taped live before audiences at various Nashville venues each month, the series presents songwriters of all genres during an informal "in-the-round" showcase, performing their hits, revealing their influences and sharing their personal stories of writing, recording and living in Music City.

The Music City Walk of Fame is a free attraction in Nashville that honors the talent that took music to the world and made Nashville Music City. The Walk of Fame is located on the Music Mile in downtown Nashville at Walk of Fame Park surrounded by Bridgestone Arena, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Hilton Nashville Downtown. The NCVB hosts two induction ceremonies each year to place new stars in the sidewalk. The newest inductees are Bill Anderson and Keith Urban. Artists honored include: Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Jimi Hendrix, Michael W. Smith, Roy Orbison and more.

The annual Music City Songwriting Competition conducts a worldwide search for the best original song. The competition begins in September and runs through the end of November. This program has received over 5,000 entries and over $3.2 million in media value. 2011 artist host is Craig Morgan. Past hosts include: Phil Vassar, Josh Turner, and Rodney Atkins. The competition and songs are judged by a panel of industry professionals.

Over 55,000 people rang in the New Year on Broadway in 2011. Artists performing at the event included Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jeffrey Steele, THE FARM and Edens Edge. On the countdown to midnight, fans were treated to a Music Drop and a dazzling fireworks display.

Music City Troubadours is a visitor loyalty program. It consists of a group of members from around the world that recognize that Music City is the best city in the world. In return for this acknowledgement they are showered with great deals at Nashville hotels, attractions and restaurants as well as being "in the know" about all things Music City.
