The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau's (NCVB) Training program is working to ensure the city's hospitality industry reflects that same spirit, and brings to life the authentic nature of Music City to create a memorable experience for visitors.

Nashville Backstage
2 hours

Front-line customer service representatives in Music City hotels, restaurants and attractions are often regarded by visitors as experts on Nashville. Our knowledgeable training staff will make sure your employees are well-informed about what the city has to offer visitors in regards to attractions, events, tours, restaurants and nightlife, so that they can provide your guests with up-to-date information and quality recommendations. Upon completion, session participants will receive a free pass to some of Music City’s hottest attractions so that they may gain first-hand knowledge of the city’s offerings.


Nashville Backstage: History & Culture
2 hours

Nashville has a rich history filled with fascinating stories of entrepreneurship, musical creation and political leadership. Pair this unique history with the city’s deep-rooted tradition and appreciation for the arts and you have Nashville Backstage: History & Culture. This two-hour session mingles tales of the city’s many defining moments, heroes and places with interesting information about our art galleries, museums and Southern culture. After participating in this exciting training, your team will be able to share knowledge about the Tennessee Exposition, Nashville’s role in the Civil War and much, much more with interested visitors.


Creating Applause
2 hours

If you are interested in creating customer loyalty, securing repeat business and getting word-of-mouth referrals, this training is for you and your staff. Creating Applause seeks to help your employees create an authentic and memorable experience for guests by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. The session will focus on attitude, product knowledge, listening skills, problem solving and more.


All Access

This unique and award-winning session on disability sensitivity will help ensure your business is welcoming to all guests. Participants will learn about disability etiquette, communication skills and seizure first aid, along with what a business’ legal responsibilities are under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The NCVB has partnered with experts from the Center for Independent Living, the Tennessee Statewide Independent Living Council, and the Disability Law and Advocacy Center to create this unique and informative session.
