Brand Promise
The Promise of Nashville, where the music is inspired, created, recorded and performed, is to provide the ultimate musical entertainment experience, celebrated throughout our diverse cultural and entertainment offerings, and presented in an authentic, unique, friendly and unpretentious atmosphere.

Travel is our business. Nashville attracts over 11 million visitors every year.

The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau brands, sells and markets Nashville, Music City, to the world as a premier entertainment destination for travelers who seek authentic and unique leisure and convention experiences. Locals rarely see our work - they enjoy our results.

Our staff consists of over 50 full-time employees, 10 part-time employees and has a total of more than 500 years of hospitality industry experience. In 2003, our Board of Directors set a goal to grow Nashville's second-largest industry from $3 billion to $5 billion. As we close in on our goal, visitor spending now stands at over $4 billion annually.

We have a sales staff consisting of 15 people with sales offices in Chicago, Atlanta and Washington D.C. - key cities for the meetings markets. Sales staff is made up of both Convention Sales and Tourism Sales and selling tactics include prospecting, trade shows, sales trips to call on clients, RoadShows and other client events.

Our marketing staff is made up of 17 full-time employees and 9 part-time employees. Our marketing team encompasses several areas including advertising, E-marketing, public relations, publications, events, promotions, sponsorships, packages, a call center, two visitor centers, convention services and research.

The NCVB is governed by a 17 member board made up of outstanding community leaders who give selflessly of their time for the economic development of Music City.

In 2006, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau created a 501(c)(3) foundation to enhance its programs, providing more education, training and research benefiting Nashville citizens, the workforce of its hospitality industry, and visitors to Music City. Officially named Music City, Inc., the foundation launched the Music City Walk of Fame project in November 2006.
