  • Nashville placed number seven among metropolitan areas on Forbes.com's "Best Places for Business and Careers" 2006 list.

  • Nashville was named "one of the seven coolest cities in the United States," defined as "exciting locations for young people where jobs are plentiful and rents are low enough to leave you a little extra cash in your pocket to enjoy the nightlife." Kiplinger.com, September 2005.

  • Upon receiving its 12th Gold Service Award from Meetings & Conventions magazine, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau was inducted to the M&C Gold Awards Hall of Fame in 2005. The Nashville CVB also won a 2005 Award of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine.

  • The AAA Midwest Auto Club listed Nashville second in the top 100 destinations in the country as ranked by the number of Triptiks issued, ahead of cities like Las Vegas, Phoenix, New Orleans and Atlanta.

  • Nashville is the "Number One City for Corporate Headquarters." Business Facilities magazine, June 2005.

  • Nashville is one of the top 10 "Entrepreneurial Hot Cities." Entrepreneur magazine, 2005.

  • The Travel Industry Association of America's 2004 Business and Convention Travelers report named Nashville the eighth best city for convention, conference and seminar travelers.

  • Esquire magazine rated Robert's Western World among "Best Bars in America" in June 2006 issue.

  • Pollstar honored Nashville's Ryman Auditorium as the 2004 Theatre of the Year for the second straight year. The other nominees were the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
