Nashville Zoo Introduces Throwback Movie Thursdays
Nashville Zoo is pleased to announce Throwback Movie Thursdays, a new outdoor film series featuring iconic movies from the 80’s and 90’s. The May 8th feature film, Jurassic Park, celebrates the return of DinoTrek to Nashville Zoo this summer.
Throwback Movie Thursdays was created due to the popularity of the Zoo’s children’s movie series, Zoovie Nights. Throwback guests will enjoy old-school games and classic music before the evening’s feature film is shown on a giant screen on Festival Field. Food, wine and beer will also be available for purchase courtesy of Taste of the Wild Catering and Bound’ry bar services.
Throwback Movie Thursday activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at sundown around 7:45 p.m. The event is free for Zoo members and $6 for non-members. DinoTrek and the Wild Animal Carousel are an additional fee. In the event of inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be posted on the Zoo’s website and Facebook page by 4:30 p.m. the day of the event. Throwback Movie Thursday is supported by Irwin Entertainment. Additional Throwback Movie Thursdays are scheduled for June 12 (The Princess Bride) and July 3 (Independence Day).
