Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw first broke through with the 2003 release of his debut album, Chariot, which sold over a million copies, earned platinum certification, and yielded three hit singles: “I Don’t Want To Be,” “Follow Through,” and the title-track, “Chariot.” His self-titled second album debuted at No. 1 on the digital sales chart and at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart in 2008, earning DeGraw his first Top 10 album. In 2009, DeGraw released Free as a gift to his die-hard fans clamoring for recorded versions of his live favorites. DeGraw released his third studio album, Sweeter, in September 2011. The album’s first single, “Not Over You,” co-written with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, reached No. 1 on the Hot AC charts, was a top 10 hit on Top 40, and was certified double platinum. His acclaimed, fourth studio album, Make A Move, was released in October 2013 to rave reviews. Shortly thereafter he was nominated for his first Grammy for “We Both Know,” a song he co-wrote with Colbie Caillat for the 2013 film “Safe Haven.” He is set to release Finest Hour: The Best of Gavin DeGraw this October via RCA Records.
The Apache Relay
Formed by chance in a Belmont University dorm, The Apache Relay is Michael Ford Jr. (vocals), Mike Harris (guitar, vocals), Brett Moore (keys, guitar, mandolin), Kellen Wenrich (fiddle, keys), Ben Ford (guitar, vocals) and Stephen Smith (drums). Since their debut, the band has opened for Grammy award-winning Mumford & Sons and performed at multiple festivals including Bonnaroo, the Newport Folk Festival, Firefly Music Festival, Voodoo Music Experience, Bristol Rhythm and Roots and Gentlemen of the Road. The band's new self-titled album was released earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim -- Rolling Stone asserts, “…echoes classic Gamble and Huff productions before folding out into a classic Spector-ish wall of sound,” while the Seattle Times calls it, “an 11-song collection full of satisfying, layered moments.” Additionally, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen calls their new single “Katie Queen of Tennessee,” “...easily one of the catchiest tunes I’ve heard this year.”
Adopted from a Romanian orphanage at 2 ½ years old, Kristen Capolino’s Woodstock, NY parents bought her first guitar at age 6. Now, this 24-year-old phenom has shared the stage with acts such as Blue Oyster Cult, Bret Michaels, Les Paul, The Michael Schenker Group, and guitar master Al Di Meola has labeled her ‘the future of the instrument.' Capolino is moving to Nashville and currently working on her first album with Grammy-winning producer Kenny Greenberg. New Year’s Eve in Nashville, will be her first full performance in town.
