Dabble Studio Opens in Downtown Nashville

Now in Germantown – A Place to Paint, Cook, Tour and Explore How Much Fun Trying New Things Can Be!

Dabble Studio is bringing to downtown Nashville’s Germantown area opportunities to “Dabble” in the creative worlds of art and food. A family-run business, Dabble Studio offers hands-on cooking classes, painting classes, unique combination classes including cooking AND painting, and customized private events. Dabble’s sister company, Nashville Food Adventures, also offers both driving and walking food tours.

Dabble's cooking, painting, and combo classes allow customers to try new things and learn skills in a social, fun, and stress-free environment. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies are provided. Dabble’s owners, Jamie, Lynn, and Tom (TJ) Fritz, take pride in creating a welcoming and fun environment; they have been intentional about everything from creating the clean modern décor, to curating an upbeat music playlist, to fostering a commitment to hospitality. Dabble’s cooking classes are taught by Jamie Fritz. Jamie, who trained at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, incorporates take-home knife skills and flavoring techniques into every lesson she teaches, and creates a casual vibe akin to friends cooking together in a home kitchen. Lynn Fritz teaches most of Dabble’s painting classes, and while the classes are similar to other paint-and-sip classes, Dabble Studio pre-stencils canvases to allow customers to focus on the fun of painting. Lynn takes great care that each person who paints with her learns new techniques and leaves happy with their painting.

At Dabble’s signature combination classes, customers create a light meal, are then guided through the creation of an 8 x 10 painting, and finally join their fellow attendees to enjoy, family-style, their new culinary creation. Combination class options include Pizza & Painting, Quiche & Canvas, Pasta & Painting, Cocktails & Canvas, Crostinis & Canvas, Pimento & Painting, Canapes & Canvas, and more.

With a new studio come other changes that add to Dabble’s uniqueness. Dabble Studio now offers a limited menu of food and drink items at all public classes, including Dabble flatbreads and cheese plates, beer, and wine by the glass or bottle. New outdoor patios allow customers to enjoy Nashville’s great weather while socializing before class and during breaks.

Having recently moved to downtown Nashville from Cool Springs, Dabble’s owners are excited about joining the downtown community. As Jamie says, “We can’t wait to get more involved in Nashville’s thriving downtown. We’re so happy to be more conveniently located for downtown’s residents and businesses, as well as convention visitors and tourists.” Dabble Studio’s emphasis on community also includes a commitment to give back through regularly scheduled charity events. Lynn explains, “We’ve always had a program to partner with customers on fundraising events for various charitable organizations, but we are now taking our charitable efforts up a notch by proactively scheduling monthly fundraising classes for different causes and organizations that are near and dear to our hearts.”

Not only does Dabble offer a calendar full of public classes (customers can view the “Look & Book” calendar, choose a class, and pre-register online), they also offer private events. While Dabble’s public classes are great for girls’ nights out, date nights, and family outings, Dabble’s fully customizable private events have proven popular for bachelorette and birthday parties, as well as corporate events and event planners looking for a new alternative for team building, corporate outings, client entertaining, and convention groups. There is something for everyone at Dabble Studio!

Tom (TJ) Fritz heads up Dabble Studio’s sister company, Nashville Food Adventures. Food tour participants join other food adventurers in a 14-passenger van and sample the specialties of 4-6 Nashville foodie hot spots on a narrative tour. Tours include the “Barbecue Pit Stops” tour, the “Taste of Nashville” tour, and the “Eat Around Nashville” tour. Private food tours can be arranged for groups of from six to sixty people.

Dabble Studio and Nashville Food Adventures are currently booking holiday parties and private events and tours.
