LiveOntheGreen is a new free concert series held every Thursday evening between September 3rd and October 8th in Public Square Plaza adjacent to the Nashville's Metropolitan Courthouse. This event highlights local artists as well as national acts with roots in Music City. This multi-genre series represents some of the best talent that Music City has to offer.
Americana Music Festival and Conference

The 10th Annual Americana Festival and Conference will offer daily seminars, panels and networking opportunities at the Nashville Convention Center. The event’s climax will be the 8th Annual Americana Honors and Awards ceremony, slated for Thursday, September 17th at the Ryman Auditorium. Each evening brings more than 80 stacked Americana showcases to key venues throughout the city.

International Bluegrass Music Association “World of Bluegrass”

The “World of Bluegrass” is a week long celebration of all things bluegrass. The week starts off with the IBMA Business Conference, Sept. 28- Oct. 1st, followed by the International Bluegrass Music Awards Show on Oct. 1st at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Finally the Bluegrass Fan Fest, Oct. 2-4th, will feature more than 60 performances by the industry’s top acts.

What began in 2006 as a simple showcase for Nashville’s booming music scene has quickly grown into a nationally recognized music festival and conference. NBN now serves as an annual destination for artists, innovators and business leaders in the creative community at large and continues to provide a deserving spotlight to the depth and diversity of the music and business “Made in Music City.”
NBN 2009 will feature over 200 performers ranging from unsigned singer songwriters to major label rock and pop artists playing at over a dozen of Nashville’s most prestigious venues. Music City Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Music City Walk of Fame is a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration and made a significant contribution to the music industry with connection to Music City. Inductees are announced and honored at a special ceremony with a permanent platinum-and-granite, star-and-guitar sidewalk marker. Inducted honorees include the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Reba McEntire, Roy Orbison, The Crickets, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Wynonna Judd, Vince Gill, Jimi Hendrix, Michael W. Smith, Little Richard and more.
