Union Common introduces new wine dinner series with Master Sommelier Brett Davis
First installment includes five-course meal with 11 French pairings Oct. 26
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2015) --- Nashville’s social concept steakhouse and premier wine restaurant Union Common, 1929 Broadway, is hosting its first wine dinner series with owner and Master Sommelier Brett Davis Monday, October 26. The initial dinner includes a one-on-one tutorial as Davis guides guests through the flavor nuances of France’s finest grape growing regions including Champagne, Bordeaux, Loire Valley, Rhône and Burgundy. Davis went to great lengths to perfectly pair 11 tastings with five courses prepared by Union Common chef Benny Kaminski. Dishes include fresh oysters, French fries with caviar crème fraiche, chilled crab and mussels, salmon, lamb, steak, and for dessert foie gras mousse puff pastry with candied pear. The night begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner with pairings at 7 p.m. Cost is $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity. A limited number of seats are available and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 615-329-4565 or emailing general manager Steven Lapiska at SteveL@UnionCommon.com. A credit card number is required.
An active member of the Court of Master Sommeliers, Davis travels the world training and teaching others about the art of wine and spirits. He created the restaurant’s extensive four page wine menu and the custom 28 foot long, nine foot high climate-controlled cabinet to house the bottles. Thanks to Davis’ expertise, Nashville Lifestyle readers awarded Union Common with the Best Wine List in 2015.
