TailGate Beer to open second brewery & tasting room TailGate Brewery Music Row coming soon
October 21, 2016 – TailGate Beer plans to expand its local footprint with the opening of a second brewery & tasting room, TailGate Brewery Music Row, located at 1538 Demonbreun Street, announces Wesley Keegan, owner. An opening date is anticipated for late November 2016.
TailGate Beer will take over the space currently occupied by Harp & Fiddle, which will close on October 30, 2016.
“I can’t think of a better location to open a second TailGate Beer,” said Keegan. “This destination and production facility will cater to game goers, tourists, and downtown residents, essentially giving us the opportunity to connect face to face with a new crowd. We look forward to being nearby some of the other local breweries; it’s a plus for craft beer fans who will get to hop around easily.”
TailGate Brewery Music Row will serve a rotating roster of their award-winning craft beer on 50 tap handles, with plans to feature guest breweries. The new location will include a three-barrel brewing system, allowing an increase of their experimental craft beer program.
Their gourmet pizza menu also will be available at the second location, and a full wine & liquor bar. TailGate Beer will utilize the 3,000 square foot restaurant, live music stage, patio, and parking lot.
“After 13 great years on Demonbreun, I’m excited to transition the property and the business to TailGate Beer. It’s been a great experience and I am looking forward to my next project, which is also brewing!” said Quinn O’Sullivan, owner of Harp & Fiddle.
This news comes shortly after Keegan’s previous expansion announcement: the West Nashville headquarters will add 10,000 square feet to the existing 16,000 square foot brewery and taproom.
The expansion will house a largescale production brewery, with the capability of producing 60,000 barrels of TailGate Beer annually. The Nashville brewery produces hundreds of styles of small batch, seasonal and experimental brews, which are served on draft in the brewery and at Tennessee restaurants, craft beer tasting rooms and growler stations.
TailGate Beer Headquarters taproom hours are Monday – Thursday, 3-10 p.m., Friday, 3-11 p.m., Saturday, 12-11 p.m., and Sunday, 12p.m. to 9 p.m. TailGate Beer is a renovated 16,000 square foot facility on 7.5 acres, located at 7300 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. The facility is all-ages, serves a full gourmet pizza menu, and hosts an array of special events for guests, including brewery tours every Saturday and Sunday. Tours last 45 minutes, cost $5 and include a guided tasting and free growler glass.
TailGate Beer focuses on small batch, limited release craft beer. Releasing 2 new experimental and seasonally appropriate beers every week, the taproom boasts up to 30 different brewed-on-site beers, as well as rotating handles from other local and regional breweries. Distributed only in Tennessee, the brewery also cans two year round releases for distribution across Tennessee in small and large retailers – like Mapco, Walmart and Kroger. TailGate Beer was founded in 2007 in San Diego, CA and relocated to Nashville in 2014 as its international headquarters.
