When School is Out, ScienceQuest Camp is in Session
Registration now open for Adventure Science Center spring, summer break camps
Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 10, 2017—Looking for an unforgettable summer camp experience in Nashville? Look no further than Adventure Science Center’s ScienceQuest Camp, where an incredible lineup of exciting STEM-based explorations awaits!
ScienceQuest Camp provides a wide range of science enrichment programs for kindergarten through 6th graders, with special programs in the summer for rising 7th through 9th graders, that combine STEM learning in ways that encourage campers to actively discover and explore concepts for themselves.
Registration is now open to the public for both spring and summer break camps at www.adventuresci.org/camps.
Spring break camps cost $50 per day for members and $60 per day for non-members. Summer camps cost $250 per week for members and $300 per week for non-members with the exception of Science Pros camp, which is charged by the day.
A limited number of scholarships are available on a first-received, first-funded basis for families that participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, WIC) or the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. The Lorene Sharp White Children’s Fund defrays 90 percent of the program fee for a child to attend up to one week of summer camp.
During spring break, campers will enjoy the fresh air while getting a crash course on “going green.” Camps are available on March 16, 17, 20–24, & 27, with each day featuring exciting new hands-on activities and amazing demonstrations. Campers will be among the first to explore the new Galactic Gardens, discover what they can do to help keep the Earth healthy, learn about gardening and the importance of pollinators, and even contribute to some important scientific studies with citizen science opportunities.
