‘Use the Force’ at Adventure Science Center’s 7th Annual Science of Beer
Event features Star Wars theme with 70+ craft brews, liquid nitrogen beer ice cream, home brewing presentations and much more
NASHVILLE, Dec. 3, 2015—A long time ago in a brewery far, far away… Adventure Science Center and Lipman Brothers teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind festival in Nashville that unites beer-lovers and science enthusiasts for an evening to remember. The Science of Beer returns Thursday, Dec. 17, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Tickets are available at www.adventuresci.org/scienceofbeer. Must be 21 or older.
Attendees will be able to sample from more than 70 craft beers (some from the dark side), while getting hands-on with a wide range of scientific activities. Guests will learn about carbonation, the basics of home brewing from Craft Brewed, and how to incorporate beer into a delicious meal with Chef Nick from PUBlicity.
Tickets are $45 for the basic non-member level, $45 for members at the Patron level, and $55 for non-members at the Patron level. All ticket levels include unlimited tasting samples and a commemorative pint glass. Patron-level tickets include a full pint of Mayday Brewery in the Beer Garden.
Science of Beer activities (included with admission):
· Not Quite Carbonite – Discover how temperature affects the dissolution of carbon gas in liquid, how your drink container affects carbonation, and more.
· Cantina Band – Try crafting your own instruments from beer bottles, growlers, beer cans and more, while learning about harmonics, sound and waves.
· Galactic Glasses – Watch as we demonstrate how to craft your own “galactic glass” out of a beer bottle using flames and ice water!
· Beer Demonstrations & Talks by Craft Brewed and PUBlicity.
· Liquid nitrogen beer ice cream (while supplies last).
Electric Sliders, Music City Pie Co. and Steaming Goat food trucks will make the jump into hyperspace to be on-site. Attendees will also be able to make their own custom T-shirt or print with Hip Hues, for an additional charge.
