Special event offers science activities, view of Nashville fireworks
NASHVILLE, June 18, 2015—It’s official… Nashville’s July 4th fireworks show is the nation’s largest! And Adventure Science Center allows visitors to enjoy the spectacle but skip the downtown crowds during Red, White & Boom!
Tickets and information are available at www.adventuresci.org/4thofjuly.
The Science Center is offering a unique Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m., including live science demonstrations, laser shows in the Sudekum Planetarium, music, food trucks, easy parking and—most importantly—an unobstructed view of the downtown Nashville fireworks.
Non-member tickets start at $35 for adults and $25 for children, while member tickets start at $30 for adults and $20 for children. Attendees can add a laser show in the Sudekum Planetarium for $4 per person.
Proceeds from the event help support the Science Center’s mission to ignite curiosity and inspire the lifelong discovery of science.
All ticket packages include:
· Viewing of the downtown fireworks display with the Nashville skyline as the backdrop, including a live sound feed of the Nashville Symphony’s accompaniment to the fireworks. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m.
· Entry into the Science Center from 6 to 10 p.m. All exhibits will be open.
· Live science demonstrations outside.
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Music City Pies Co. and Electric Sliders will be on-site for additional purchase. Attendees are also welcome to pack a picnic to enjoy on the Science Center lawn overlooking downtown Nashville. However, no alcohol is permitted.
Red, White & Boom is a rain or shine event, but attendees can eliminate any worries since the Science Center will be open to provide shelter and a place to cool off. Guests can also explore all the exhibits without the usual daytime crowds.
