PUCKETT’S FUNDS 4 FOOD CHECK PRESENTATION TO TAKE PLACE ON BIG PAYBACK DAY
Restaurant to Donate Campaign Proceeds on Middle Tennessee’s Largest Day of Giving, May 3
NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Nashville will present a check to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee for $10,000 on Wednesday, May 3 at 9 a.m., coinciding with The Big Payback -- a community-wide day of giving sponsored by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
The popular restaurant teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank for a month-long giving campaign, Funds 4 Food. From April 1 through 30, diners could add an extra dollar or more to their totals to purchase meals for families struggling with hunger in Middle Tennessee. A. Marshall Family Foods Inc., the parent company of Puckett’s 5th & Church, then matched each donation, achieving the restaurant’s goal of providing 40,000 meals to those in need.
The Big Payback is a charitable event, helping area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to pressing needs in the community. In the past three years, The Big Payback has helped raise more than $6.5 million for nearly 800 local nonprofits. To learn more about The Big Payback, visit their website at www.thebigpayback.org.
