Turn Spring Fever into Dance Fever
Nashville, Tenn - National Dance Week is April 27-May 5 and dancers across the country will unite to “celebrate dance and promote fun fitness.” Come get dancy with us at Avenue 2 Ballroom.
“It’s never too late to learn to dance,” says ballroom dance instructor, Donald Stamper. “And dance week is a great time to start dancing.”
Dancing is a total body workout - for all ages and fitness levels – and it’s a great way to have fun with or without a partner.
“We are always looking for ways to get dancers together to promote the benefits of dance – especially the fun!” says Tara Shaver, studio owner and local social dancer. “National Dance Week is the perfect time for dance outreach and education.”
Avenue 2 will host dance opportunities for beginners to advanced dancers, starting with the Spring Open House Party on Wednesday, April 24. The event includes a beginner group dance lesson, open dancing, performances, and more. Admission is FREE.
Group dance classes are open to the public and begin at 7:15 PM each night, Monday through Thursday (Saturdays at 12:15). No partner is necessary to join the fun.
After you learn a few new moves, dance around town with special events orchestrated by Avenue 2 including a Dance Crawl, Saturday, May 4 at the Donelson Art Crawl and the Nashville Westies Launch Party, Sunday, May 5 at Ibiza Night Club.
