DISCOUNT GIFT CERTIFICATES OFFERED FOR 50-PLUS LOCAL RESTAURANTS
Nashville Originals’ Quarterly Discount Gift Certificates On Sale Wednesday, June 18
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Nashville foodies, set your alarm clocks: Music City’s non-profit independent restaurant association is once again offering its popular discount gift certificates on Wednesday, June 18. The sale will launch through its website, www.nashvilleorginals.com, and opens around 7 a.m. Central.
Once each quarter, the locally owned eateries that comprise the Nashville Originals sell a limited number of these individual discount gift certificates, where $25 and $50 denominations to restaurants are reduced by 30 percent. The quarterly sale acts as a fundraiser for the association.
As Nashville’s food scene gains ground, so does the organization’s membership: more than 50 restaurants are now affiliated with the non-profit. With new Originals members including Bread & Company, Fleet Street Pub, Martin’s BBQ Joint, Pizza Perfect, The Row Nashville, Rumours Wine Bar and others, buyers now have even more options to choose from.
The virtual discount gift certificates are purchased through the website and can then be printed by the buyer or emailed as a gift —an email with the pertinent information is sent immediately upon purchase.
In the past, a majority of the discounted certificates have sold out within a day of posting. Claire Marshall Crowell, an Originals board member and director of operations for the Puckett’s family of restaurants, says the discount gift certificate program has been a popular option since the organization was formed in 2006.
“Our members work together to advance a common mission—which is to sustain locally owned restaurants as a critical component of Nashville’s culture—and this program allows the organization to thank the local community for supporting that vision,” Marshall said. “Four times a year, you can purchase a discounted certificate to places like Jimmy Kelly’s, Holland House, Watermark and Mere Bulles. It’s the best deal in town!”
The 50+ members range from casual eateries to acclaimed fine dining establishments—from Copper Kettle and Elliston Place Soda Shop to Suzy Wong’s House of Yum, Silly Goose and Valentino’s. Full member profiles, including photos, maps, directions, reservation links and more, are available at www.nashvilleoriginals.com.
