2016 PROGRESSIVE® INSURANCE NASHVILLE BOAT & SPORTSHOW® DOCKING AT THE MUSIC CITY CENTER JAN. 7–10 FOR 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Four days of huge deals, giveaways and interactive fun for the whole family!
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 25, 2015) – Tennessee’s premier boat and sportshow docks at the Music City Center from Jan. 7–10 for its 30th anniversary, offering boating enthusiasts the best deals of the season on the latest selection of boats, fishing and marine accessories, outdoor gear and more.
The 2016 show features a number of new interactive activities including the United States Power Squadron’s Boating Skills Virtual Trainer® (BSVT), allowing participants to take the helm of a virtual boat, practice basic boating maneuvers and improve boating skills. Another all-new flyboard feature offers daily demos by master instructors from Defiance Flyboards.
“We are excited to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary in Nashville,” said show manager Kim Muncy. “With so many lakes and rivers nearby, it’s no wonder that people are thinking about boating year-round. The show’s longevity is a testament to the great opportunities here for boating enthusiasts, newcomers and families alike.”
“This is going to be an exciting year for boating in Nashville,” added exhibitor and Drakes Creek Marine salesman Jim Voyles. “The big boat market is really picking up steam, and we can’t wait to give families an opportunity for fun times together on the water.”
Other exciting features at the show include the Queen of the Show, a 2016 Regal 42 Sport Coupe from Drakes Creek Marine, the only boat in its class with a full-beam retractable hardtop with windshield walk-thru, opening side windows and sliding glass doors. Returning favorite Canoe Kentucky’s PaddleFest allows guests to try out canoes, kayaks and standup paddleboards in an indoor pool. For awe-inspiring entertainment, the Wakezone Trampoline Wall will showcase professional wakeboarders executing flips, twists and stunts.
Visitors will also be able to learn fishing, boating and hunting techniques firsthand from professionals and speak with representatives from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. There will also be ‘enter to win’ prizes ranging from guided fishing trips and Smoky Mountain tours to a free day on the lake in a Pate’s Ford Houseboat.
For the kids, the show offers a catch-and-release trout pond and a booth where children can build their own crankbait.
