Goo Goo Cluster Pop-‐Up Shop to Open July 3rd
July 1, 2014 – Recently Goo Goo Cluster, LLC announced plans for a Fall 2014 opening of the Goo Goo Shop, a retail store located in the SoBro area of downtown Nashville at 116 3rd Avenue South. In the weeks following, local fans and visitors to Nashville expressed their delight with the news, as well as their desire to see it happen quickly.
Goo Goo Cluster listened and took action. While a majority of the 4,000+ square foot building is currently under renovation in preparation for the Goo Goo Shop opening, a portion of the space at the front of the store has been sectioned off to make room for a temporary pop-‐up shop.
This Goo Goo pop-‐up shop will open its doors on Thursday, July 3rd, and be open until a few days before the grand opening of the Goo Goo Shop full retail experience in the fall. The hours for the pop-‐up shop will be 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., 7 days a week.
“We're excited to bring Goo Goo Cluster back to downtown Nashville where it all began 102 years ago,” said Lance Paine, Executive Vice President of Goo Goo Cluster, LLC. “We have big plans for this location and this pop-‐up shop is just the beginning.”
In addition to the Goo Goo Shop, Goo Goo Cluster also operates the Goo Goo Outpost at Fontanel, located at 4225 Whites Creek Pike, and an online store at www.googoo.com.
About Goo Goo Cluster
Goo Goo Cluster, The Original Southern Confection was invented in 1912 by Howell Campbell, who developed the world’s first combination candy bar in a copper kettle at the Standard Candy Company at Clark & First Avenue in Nashville. The unique confection is a roundish mound of caramel, marshmallow nougat, fresh roasted peanuts and real milk chocolate. Today, the Original Goo Goo Cluster is also available in two additional varieties: Supreme, with pecans instead of peanuts, and Peanut Butter. Goo Goo Clusters are available in retail stores across the United States, as well as online. Visit www.googoo.com for more information.
