EDGEHILL RELEASES FIRST-EVER BRUNCH, COCKTAIL MENUS
Edgehill Village Restaurant Expands Offerings With Menu Additions
Nashville, Tenn. (March 30, 2016) — Boozy Sundays just got better: Edgehill, the landmark coffee shop and restaurant in Edgehill Village, recently announced the addition of a brunch and cocktail menu to its already popular food and drink repertoire.
"When we moved into our new space, so many people came up and said, ‘This place is going to be great for brunch on the weekends!’” said Edgehill Co-owner Winn Elliott. “And so we thought, ‘You know, we should probably serve a great brunch on the weekends.’ Our goal is to offer great food, great coffee and great cocktails all day, every day."
For brunch, diners can expect classic Southern favorites such as pancakes, chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos, French toast casserole and biscuits and sausage gravy, along with Bloody Marys and seasonal mimosas available 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. For healthier options, guests can opt for the Farmer’s Omelet with squash, zucchini, caramelized onions, spinach and cream cheese; the kale salad made with toasted walnuts, feta cheese and cranberries; or the house-made granola with Greek yogurt.
There’s also no shortage of Edgehill signature dishes for hungry brunchers, such as the Fisherman’s Omelet, made with smoked salmon, caper dill cream cheese, spinach and tomatoes; the Lovely, smoked cheddar grits with andouille sausage, tomatoes, onion, spinach and a fried egg; biscuit bites made with fried biscuit dough, sweet potato, bacon jalapeño and smoked cheddar; and the Edgehill burger.
The new cocktail menu is concise and carefully curated, with libations featuring coffees and mochas, such as the Slow Burn, made with coffee, simple syrup, Four Roses Bourbon, Fangelico and whipped cream; the Bankladesh, made with house-made mocha, Patron XO Inciendio and Whisper Creek Mocha; and the Kentucky Fall, a mix between Edgehill’s Always Fall Somewhere latte and Four Roses Bourbon.
“The cocktail menu is our ode to the coffee shop,” said Jack Egan, beverage manager at Edgehill. “Our current customers come in because they dig the drinks we currently serve. In creating this first cocktail menu, I wanted to cater to that customer.
“Expect to see the menu change, though. We’re already planning to add more late-night drinks and a few classics like a Manhattan, and we’ll rotate in seasonal cocktails with the favorites.”
In celebration of the warmer weather, the cocktail menu already features lighter cocktails like the I Me Mine, Edgehill’s rendition of an Arnold Palmer, or the Easy E, made with basil, strawberry, lemonade, Pickers Vodka and St. Germain. Edgehill also now offers a selection of red and white wines by the glass or bottle as well as regional beers on tap.
Brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cocktail menu and beer and wine is available Monday through Sunday during normal restaurant hours.
