NASHVILLE, Tenn. – She’s back! Your favorite Tupperware lady Dixie Longate brings her smash hit show, “Dixie's Tupperware Party,” back to Nashville with a strictly limited seven-show engagement at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Johnson Theater on June 13-18.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 31, at 10 a.m. at TPAC.org, by phone at 615-782-4040, and at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick St., in downtown Nashville.
The hilarious show, which turned Off-Broadway into Tupperware-mania and garnered a prestigious 2008 Drama Desk Award Nomination, returns to Music City this summer to re-stock your kitchen cupboards.
“Dixie's Tupperware Party” stars Dixie Longate as the fast-talking Tupperware lady who has packed up her catalogs and left her children in an Alabama trailer park to journey across America. Audiences howl with laughter as she throws a good ol' fashioned Tupperware Party filled with outrageously funny tales, heartfelt accounts, FREE giveaways, audience participation, and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on a theater stage. It’s loaded with the most up-to-date products available for purchase.
Written by Kris Andersson, the production is playing Nashville as part of a tour that has, so far, logged over 1,200 performances worldwide. Produced by Down South, LLC, and directed by Patrick Richwood, “Dixie's Tupperware Party” features costumes designed by Miss Longate and lighting designed by Richard Winkler.
