CHEEKWOOD TO HOST ANNUAL ‘SONGWRITERS UNDER THE STARS’ EVENT
Third-Annual Concert Series Presented by First Bank
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cheekwood will host its third annual Songwriters Under the Stars concert series with the Music City Hit-Makers on the historic estate’s Swan Lawn on August 26 and 27 at 7 p. m. Presented by First Bank, the evening will take place against the backdrop of Cheekwood’s gorgeous grounds and gardens.
The evening concert will boast performances by three of Nashville’s hottest songwriters and members of the show Music City Hit-Makers, Brett James, Rivers Rutherford and Chris DeStefano. The artists will perform their chart-topping hits with accompanying sounds of the acclaimed Music City Symphony. Emily West, runner-up of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” season nine, will open the show with the debut of her symphony show.
Frequently described as “the most famous people you’ve never heard of,” the Music City Hit-Makers consist of writers who have penned hits for Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, George Strait, Kelly Clarkson, Wynonna Judd, Reba McIntyre, Celine Dion and many others. Songwriters Under the Stars is a rain or shine event. Every effort will be made to continue with the show during rain.
