CHEEKWOOD ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
Popular Festival Presented by Regions
NASHVILLE, TN. – Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art has released its schedule of events for Holiday at Cheekwood, its signature four-week celebration of holiday traditions and festive, family-friendly activities. Presented by Regions, Holiday at Cheekwood begins on November 28 and runs through December 31.
Cheekwood’s holiday celebration is a tradition in the Nashville community and beyond, drawing visitors from across the region to enjoy artfully decorated Christmas trees and its stately mansion in magnificent holiday splendor. This year's decor takes on an international theme, with each tree representing the colors, culture and spirit of another country. Cheekwood will also debut a live poinsettia tree in the mansion that will be nearly 20 feet tall and made up from more than 500 individual poinsettias.
Starting at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday from November 29 through December 21, Cheekwood will offer Holiday Weekends full of drop-in studio art activities, cookie decorating, live music, Santa visits and much more. Due to the overwhelming popularity of last season’s weekend-only live reindeer display, Cheekwood has expanded its schedule to host the animals as an ongoing attraction, offering visitors enchanting real-life reindeer encounters every day during opening hours, Tuesday through Sunday.
“We love being a special part of Nashville’s holiday season,” said Kristin Paine, Deputy Director of External Affairs. “And we’re so excited to have the reindeer with us every day of the week this year for our visitors to enjoy. The holidays are a truly magical time to visit Cheekwood, and we’re pleased to build on the festival’s past popularity with even more opportunities for families and visitors of all ages to experience the season.”
