CHEEKWOOD HARVEST TO FEATURE PUMPKIN HOUSE, BEER GARDEN New Additions Coming to Fall Seasonal Festival
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cheekwood is welcoming autumn’s arrival with 5,000 chrysanthemums, an 11-foot-tall pumpkin house, scarecrows and a new Beer Garden as part of its six-weekend long fall program, Cheekwood Harvest. Opening Saturday, September 17, Cheekwood Harvest is set to celebrate all things autumn as part of Cheekwood’s year-round lineup of signature seasonal festivals.
“We are excited to introduce the new Pumpkin House and Beer Garden to our visitors this fall,” said Nathalie Lavine, director of education and programs at Cheekwood. “The cooler temperatures and seasonal activities always draw a large crowd to Cheekwood Harvest, and these new additions will attract an even larger crowd, with fun experiences designed to appeal to kids, adults and families alike.”
Cheekwood Harvest, presented by Bank of America, will feature themed programming every Saturday, offering special performances and activities throughout the grounds. Don’t just pick pumpkins, step into our new Pumpkin House and experience them! This 11-foot-tall Pumpkin House is fun for the whole family. Select your favorites to purchase and take them home.
The Beer Garden, opening September 24, will feature craft brew, bluegrass music and light snacks each Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm. Picnic tables are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, and visitors are welcome to bring their own chair or blanket. Featured music includes Bluegrass in the Beer Garden on Saturdays from 11 am – 2 pm.
Halloween Pooch Parade
Bring your four-legged friend to Cheekwood for our first ever Halloween Pooch Parade. On Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 am, costumed canines and their owners are invited to parade around the gardens for a fun morning stroll.
CHEEKWOOD HARVEST ACTIVITIES
More than 5,000 chrysanthemums in deep autumn hues will take center stage throughout the property. Highlighted in the gorgeous Robertson Ellis Color Garden, the mums are planted specifically for Cheekwood Harvest.
Silly and serious, big and small, frightening and friendly – Scarecrows will invade our gardens again this fall! Tour this year’s collection of creative ‘crows in the Turner Seasons Garden, each created by members of our Nashville community.
Pumpkins at Cheekwood
It wouldn’t be fall without picking the perfect pumpkin, and we’ve got the one for you! Pumpkins for carving, painting and decorating await you in our Pumpkin Patch. Walk into the 11-foot-tall Pumpkin House, or pick your favorites to purchase and take them home!
