“Decoding Annie Parker" Nashville Premier July 30th
Including Exclusive Red Carpet Event as Pre-Kick Off to The National Women's Survivors Convention
(Nashville, TN – July 23, 2014) – The National Women's Survivors Convention is excited to announce the Nashville, TN, exclusive screening of the “Decoding Annie Parker,” the amazing true story of two women whose lives are unknowingly tied together by one terrible disease.
“Decoding Annie Parker” follows the stories of two incredible women whose lives are tied together and is based on a true story. Annie Parker (Samantha Morton) is no stranger to the devastation of breast cancer. A wife and mother at age 19, she's already lost her own mother and older sister to the disease. When she's diagnosed as well, Annie's battle to hold her life together begins.
Meanwhile, brilliant medical researcher Mary-Claire King (Helen Hunt) is deep in the middle of a project that most say is doomed to failure. She believes that some cancers have a genetic link, a theory that produces only ridicule from her contemporaries. Urged by all to abandon her research, Mary-Claire is drawn slowly but surely to Annie and the meeting that will change both of their lives.
At times funny, poignant, and heartbreaking, the story of two women who are destined to discover much more than a world-changing scientific breakthrough is bound to touch the lives of anyone who hears it.
“We are thrilled to bring this film to Nashville and have it as the pre-kick off to the 2014 Women’s Survivors Convention.
